Cal and Son Carpet Corp. was established in 1975 by Florencio Calderon and his wife Zurina Calderon. "Cal", short for Calderon, began by selling carpet in the mornings and installing carpet in the evenings and weekends. As business grew, Cal retired from installing and concentrated on sales and management.
Four Decades of Growth and Dedication
In 1980, Cal and Son Carpet Corp. began construction on its new facility 2 blocks down the street from its original rented location. At this point, the "son" Alex Calderon began working with the family weekends and occasionally after school.
In 1992, Cal and Son Carpet Corp. began construction on its current location, 6 blocks up the same street. The new location afforded the company a larger warehouse for more inventory and a larger showroom for a greater offering of products.
Today, Cal and Son Carpet offers a wide range of products from imitation laminate wood to exotic hardwood floors, from window shades to total window treatments and from natural fiber sisals and seagrasses to imported woven axminster floral carpets.
